Fireworks Display
Shortly after 9pm, when it’s dark enough, enjoy an incredible firework display at the Bishop City Park. Families are welcome to throughout the park & ball fields to enjoy the fireworks. The firework launch & exclusion zone will be at the East Side of the Park near the Senior Center & Soccer Fields at Hanby Street & Park Avenue.
After 9 p.m. tune in to KIBS, 100.7 FM for synchronized music and look to the sky for the fireworks spectacular, which will be launched from the east side of the Bishop City Park.
Food. Fun. Music.
Enjoy great FOOD in the park. Have plenty of FUN in the Park. Listen to LIVE MUSIC in the park. 4th of July In The Bishop City Park is an open community event and everyone is welcome to enjoy the festivities & fireworks.

1-4 PM– Free swim at the park pool
3:30 PM – Watermelon Eating Contest hosted by Grocery Outlet
4:30-5:15 PM – First Band: Carbe and Durand (from Incendio)
5:30 PM– Star-Spangled Bike and Scooter Decorating Contest
6:15-7:45 PM – Second Band: Bishop Jazz Combo
8 PM – Vendors Close

The Bishop City Park
Enjoy the beautiful Bishop City Park with friends, family & community, as we celebrate July 4th, Independence Day. Everyone is welcome to sit throughout the park and ball fields to enjoy the event and firework show.
Tips: Come early, get a good parking spot, enjoy the day in the park. Consider walking or biking to the event as parking is limited. Picnics okay, but alcohol is prohibited in the park. Leave Fido at home – there’s a no dog ordinance for the park, plus all dogs hate fireworks. NO PERSONAL FIREWORKS ALLOWED.
PARKING IS LIMITED. PUBLIC PARKING IS AVAILABLE AROUND THE CITY OF BISHOP AND NEAR THE PARK.
WALK OR BIKE TO THE PARK
WATCH FROM HOME. FIREWORKS WILL BE VISIBLE AROUND TOWN AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.
ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED INSIDE THE BISHOP CITY PARK AND FOR THIS EVENT.
FOOD OPTIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE. FAMILIES ARE WELCOME TO BRING THEIR OWN FOOD TO THE PARK.
BBQ’S ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE PARK ON MONDAY, JULY 4TH FOR THIS EVENT.
